Summary

GitLab is selectable in onboarding and connects from the picker, --host and Settings. The Address step pre-fills https://gitlab.com and probes that the server really is GitLab; the Sign in step links GitLab's personal access token page and lists the one scope needed (api, with read_api called out as not enough). On GitLab, "PR" reads "MR". design.md (Onboarding, v1 scope) and the README are updated.

Decisions

  • connect routes gitlab to the GitLab adapter (URL defaults to gitlab.com); the probe order is Gitea, GitHub, GitLab.
  • The token link has no ?name=…&scopes=api prefill: the 83-character URL clipped at 80 columns. Recorded on #141.
  • Box [3]'s name on GitLab is split out to #145 (needs PM).

Test plan

  • go test -race ./...: 1742 pass, 9 skipped, 0 failed. Build, vuln, install-test, vet-windows pass.
  • Lint and fmt-check with CI's golangci-lint v2.14.0: 0 issues.
  • Onboarding GitLab path tests written red-first (13 red on assertion before the change), the one green-before test mutation-proven; "MR" term tests proven red when reverted to "PR".
